Q: How early in advance should I make an online booking?

A: All online bookings should be made at least 6 hours in advance. For more immediate bookings please call us on (+44) 0208 665 4765 to confirm availability.

How do I pay?

A: At SLM London Airport Cars our aim is to offer flexibility and convenience. You can choose to pay the driver in the traditional manner or PayPal and payzone. (Note: You don't need a PayPal account to pay.)

Q: Are there any additional charges if my flight is delayed?

A: SLM London Airport Cars operate a flight monitoring service. Therefore if your flight is delayed your driver will know and will arrive at the right time thus saving you charges for flight delays. We also offer a waiting time of 60 minutes after your flight has landed of which we do not charge for.

Q: Where do I meet my driver when I land at the airport?

A: Your driver will contact you after your flight has landed to make the sufficient arrangements to meet you at a convenient location and assist you with your luggage.

Q: Do you operate a fixed price policy?

A: Yes, all of our airport cars can be booked online and over the phone with an upfront fixed fee. However, prices may vary due to our waiting charge of £20 per hour or during these periods:

  •   Peak Hours (06:45-09:30, 15:30-18:30)
  •  Late Night (23:00-03:30)
  •  Serious weather conditions
  •  New Years Eve/ New Years Day (18:00 31st December to 23:59 1st January)
  •  Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day/ Boxing Day (18:00 24th December to 23:59 26th December)

Q: Are your prices per car or per person?

A: All prices quoted by SLM London Airport Cars are always per car; therefore if there is a group of you it enables you to share the cost.

Q: How early do I need to book my car?

Q: Do I get an email confirmation for my booking?

A: Yes, all your travel details will be confirmed through a confirmation email of your journey.

Q: Is there a charge for a child seat?

A: The child seat is free to use. Please make sure you mention the child’s age in the reservation in order to ensure your driver brings the child seat on your journey.

Q: Do I have to pay the toll charge?

A: Yes, although it is not included in your online quote you have to pay for the toll charge, ultra low emissions charge and/or congestion charge if applicable. You can either provide the driver with cash upon request or we can take this from your card if you prefer.

Q: Do I still have to pay if I cancel the booking?

A: SLM will accept any cancellation and provide a refund as long as 24 hours notice is provided. There will be a 10% administration /transaction charge per journey. All cancellations must be made via an email to which you will receive confirmation by us. If you do not receive an email from SLM confirming the cancellation, then we have not received it. In this case please call our out of hours contact number which is 02086652222.

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  •       No refund is made if the passenger does not show up for any journeys and must pay for it regardless.
  •      No refund is made for cancellation of a booking with less than 24 hours notice provided and hence must pay for it regardless.
  •      All other circumstances where a refund may be possible should be addressed directly to SLM customer services.
